Unfortunately that would be my first thought too but I've just googled it and they are going for £400 so its feasible.

Lol! Sorry guys I was looking at new from where I bought my bike, it's on sale @ £400 but they arnt allowing me to send mine back as I would have gone for it if I could have got a full refund. They are now only offering me £160 trade in and I only bought the bike 11 days ago for £300!

Very feasible as it is an aluminium Mekk Pinerolo & not to be confused with a Pinarello (I know your not confused).

Do you really need to sell the Hardrock? They are great bikes. I use mine regularly as not all my routes are road routes. I have a fab cyclepath near me, 30 miles long and I'd not take my roadie down a lot of it.

My 1st thought's about your situation are (you might not like them), wait a while, save the extra £70 - £100 & go for a new Carrera TdF or Triban 3.
Stick some of those semi road type tyres (whatever they are called) on your Mtb in the meantime & lock out your fork (if it has one).
My reasons are simple (like me).
1. You will know it's history (because it's new & has none).
2. You will have some kind of warranty (so you can return it in event of issues)
3. It just feels good.

I am a little unsure you would get £280 for a bike that cost you £300 nearly 3 months ago (sorry) but it is now 2nd hand.

Sorry for the late reply I think having two bikes would be a good option but unfortunately I really don't have the room for it. So I think in just going to try my best to sell this one and then il try and find something around the local area to buy but I will obviously ask you guys if you think it's a good buy etc. Thanks again to everyone!
