Time to get some carbon sole road shoes. Looking for something BOA wire fastening that won't break the bank , prob something in the sales for around £100 max. Any suggestions...

I have Louis Garneaux carbon HRS100's. Mega light, boa closures, stiff, around your budget and get great reviews. Evans stock them.

Why does weight matter with shoes? Not like you can walk in them and its winter. People mostly complaining about cold feet

In every day riding not a lot. In fact carbon soles and wire closures will make little if any difference if you are just riding your bike, but when you are racing and it gets hilly every bit of weight saving helps, so from my perspective I tend to go with the lighter option if they get good reviews and the price point is similar.

Of course it matters, super flash shoes. You ladies do it with your 'civvy' shoes.

I know my Spesh. Pro Carbon shoes aren't that light, but they are comfy over long distances, and super stiff, and the click action from carbon Looks is ever so noisy.

I don't give a crap about the weight or look of shoes personally. Hard enough just to get ones that fit comfortably. Curse of size 9 wide feet
