Carol singers.

They can't sing, expect money for banging out some tuneless shite that isn't even any good when a professional sings it and always call when you're watching something good on TV.

You should be allowed to answer the door with an air rifle and only have to give them ten seconds start before you loose one off.

Works for Simon Cowell apparently...

People moaning about what ruins Christmas......

I can't get enough of it.

Bought most of my presents in the last week of August.

Bought my first mince pies September 1st.

All presents wrapped by the end of the first week in September.

Rejoiced when I heard that M & S are going to make mince pies an all year round stock item.

Used my Xmas avatar from the first week in November.

Have lived off a Christmas cake and port diet this week to shake off a cold. (Feed a cold - starve a fever) It hasn't worked but I've felt happy :-)

Things to look forward to:
  • A trip to Darlington to see friends
  • A cracking yuletide folk gig in Shipley
  • Bucks Fizz for breakfast on Christmas Day
  • Coffee and croissants after the bucks fizz
  • The sprouts and roasted parnips component of the Xmas dinner
  • The thought that one day my wife will relent and let me have goose instead of turkey
  • Chocolates
  • Booze
  • More booze
  • Boxing day fry up
  • Five days of inactivity
  • Bike ride to the Tan Hill on New Years Day
And relax.......

x mass greetings Diddly!

This is an integral part of the different thinker's vocabulary. One year, I bought a little rubber stamp, which people bought to do 'Spot The Ball'. Dabbed on a red ink pad, and applied to nice watercolour paper it worked ok.
Without the word 'Xmas' all would have been lost, nay, not even found!
