My topeak wedge has finally fallen to bits. The straps have come away, the zip has come away from the bag and the saddle has worn a hole through the bag.

This time I'm looking for a pod type bag like a sidekick or wedge 2 etc. that has a quickclip and not straps.

It's for my road bike so I don't want anything HUGE.

It will need to hold
SPARE ROAD TUBE
TWO LEVERS
MINI TOOL
Co2 CANNISTER
QUICK PATCHES

what do you recommend? Any pics of it with the kit inside?

sorry to sound stupid but exactly what is a quickclip mounting? google's not being much help

both the above mentioned sidekick and wedge 2 would appear to have a quick release mounting
if the quick release mounting is what you are after and you were happy with your wedge then i would say go ahead and buy a wedge 2

if you know one product is good then why get anything else? for example for non-cycling (it won't fit in the bottle cage) i own about 3 or 4 of exactly the same military 58 pattern water bottle, they are cheap and solid and yes i use all of them
sorry for sidetracking slightly
Cheers Ed

The quickclip plastic quick release type thingamabob, not straps^_^

Not bought the new topeak because

A. There may be newer brands or better

B. Not sure what size will hold my crap

Edit. I had the aero wedge thing that wasn't a pod, more of a saggy sack!

I'd go with a Topeak Quicklip personally. The best two things about the Topeak bags are that they have the zip that allows the bag to be made bigger/smaller and, importantly, the zip on the opening goes all the way around so you can access things much easier.

Managed to sneak ( I was at work ) into a shop to look at a new bag. The topeak rigid things looked good but were an odd shape. I was worried about fitting oblong things into a circular shape. Looked at the lezyne caddy and bought one in small.

It looks tiny on the bike, which is good, but it holds all of my kit: road inner tube, 2 co2 canisters, inflator, 2 tyre levers, glueless patches, quick link, multi tool and 2 spare batteries for my front light. There's a strap for my rear light too:thumbsup:
