Soldering.
After I lost some vision in one eye a few years back, I just can't do close-up precise stuff any more.
I used to be quite good at surface-mount rework, and now I can barely solder wires to a connector without it looking like I've tried to glue them on.

Five years ago i could bench press 150lb 50 times. I was also a medium paced bowler for a local cricket team, and i could whistle very loudly. The loss of my right pectoral due to cancer, and also losing half my tongue from the same illness put a stop to all of them.

to be able to look at a nut or allen headed bolt or screw and know without checking what size spanner or allen key to use
Do it every day, its easy....people often say to me..'how do you know what one you need, and always get it right'.
Being able to get out of bed without pain.

Oh gawld, yes, i miss that. EVERY morning, without fail, i'm stiff, i'm sore, i'm crotchety, it takes me half an hour to get going. Which made me think, i'm fit...and yet i'm a wreck. I've rarely had a pain free day for years, seriously, occasionally, it wears you down.

I always struggled at soldering, but got better. I need loads of light on the subject, or my reading glasses to see what the hell i'm doing.

Before reading those, i was going to say...stamina perhaps.
At 20 odd, i could do a days work, then start decorating a room and work until it was done, even if that meant going till 4am the next day.
Now ?...i don't even want to start

Edited to say...good topic swee'pee

being able to consistently kick a rugby ball from anywhere in the correct half, between the posts. distance and accuracy fail me now through lack of practice. and for somebody who played on the front row for his early days before playing lock or number 8 and finally scrumhalf in his playing days thats a hard skill anyway.

You and me both.

I got slashed across the right eyeball with a steel rule back in 2004 and my eye hasn't been good for close work ever since.
