Maggers has had his fair share of bad experiences lately - as well as the few i've subscribed to on 'tube... Now it's my turn!!

It was surprisingly similar to the 20cm from death one, only mine was a couple metres... Basically a lorry pulled out on me, and had I not been fully braking, I'd have gone into the side of him, or worse, under the side of him to be met by a 6 foot wheel.... not good.

annoyingly no footage, or reg plate, all i can say is that it was a M&S HGV.

just arrrghhhh!!!!

It's making me think - "i don't care if petrol gets to 3 quid a centi-litre, if it gets those damn cars off the road...!!!"

Sorry to hear about that. As you can imagine, I can sympathise!

Give M&S a call, tell them the time and place etc. You never know they might be able to work out who it was.

Looking around the streetview. It looks like there is a CCTV camera there. Might be worth investigating if that caught the incident.

Hey Gaz, three for me on the way home alone

a man with a steamed up window edged out on me across the cycle lane, I stopped inches from his side window with a very very bright light and howled at him before he noticed me

a car acclerated out of a parking space without signalling or even turning his lights on, a swerve from me and the car behind me being on the ball avoided trouble

and a black cab swerving to the curb without signalling etc

and not one said sorry mate or so much as acknowledged I was there or that they'd done anything wrong

Nearly got turned into a Bacon sandwich yesterday by a van reversing out and Mrs Miggins in her corsa. The driver had partially reversed out and stopped with his back end in the middle of the road. I pulled out to the centre of the road to pass, as I did so The van then continued too reverse and Mrs Miggins decided to overtake....I manged a reealy good impression of a scared Magnatom a definite girly screech! Why I screeched in a Scottish accent I don't know?

"Would a location and time be enough for M&S to be likely to be able to track and identify their HGVs?"

Certainly. All big companies use GPS systems to keep a tab on their logistics operations. They know what lorry was where at what time of day.
