Cycling, I only really want company when they can help with room costs on tour, even then I don't cycle with them much.

I really like going to the local and just spending half an hour with no interruptions, having a pint and reading the paper. I'm sure all the other locals think I'm a miserable git but after working with 100 kids all day and then going back to my own, it's my little piece of tranquility!

Cycle touring. My main cycling companion lives abroad these days.
It's nice to get a bit of "me time". I expect my partner feels like the same!

Pretty much anything I like. I like my own company, prefer to cycle or walk alone for the most part as I can set my own pace, stop where I like and do my own. I prefer to travel/go on holidays alone for the same reason although I'm not anti-social and I've some of the best nights out ever during my cycle tours this year in the company of random people I met at the hostels I stayed in.

I also prefer to go to the theatre alone as I want to concentrate on the performance.

I had a lovely day today, leisurely 50 mile solo ride, stopped in a cafe for lunch, visited a beautiful waterfall I know off in a place where no-one ever goes and it was great today with all the recent rain and have relaxed all evening listening to music of many different genres and fixing my Bah Humbug tree lights.

Have a day off tomorrow so will take a solo drive to the extreme west of the county where I know I can have freebie use of a holiday cottage on the coast and I want to plan a potential cycle tour for when the days get longer in the new year and when everyone else is getting stressed with Bah Humbug shopping tomorrow I will be far from the maddening crowd.

I do most things on my own because I work unsociable hours
Just as well you couldn't post on CC in company, it would be rude ^_^

Interesting, but don`t you ever feel lonely?

Not really. I've got other things I do such as dance classes and my writers group where see and enjoy company. I'm not anti social but do need and enjoy my own space am perfectly happy she I'm on my own.

Besides, if you travel alone, you meet all the other solo travellers and they are often fun and interesting people to spend time with.

I've only ever cycled alone, so there's that. Otherwise, I prefer to do the food shopping by myself. I make a list and stick to it, whilst if Mrs. Berk is with me she's off browsing and making impulse buys, damn her...
