Like Sam, I wanted to find home, but I think I have found it now.

I wanted to have a child and now we do. So I guess, like Magnatom I want him to grow up happy and healthy (so far, so good...)

Then I would like to tranform the small amount of land we have into a flourishing and productive permacultural garden (again, we've made a good start).

And I would like to write a good novel.

But actually most of things I would like to happen are collective social and ecological things, not personal.

Free-wheeling into oblivion...
1. Save enough to take a work-break and spend a winter season in Banff snowboarding.

2. Cycle New Zealand from the tip of the South island to the tip of the North island.

3. Visit Japan, Hong Kong & Singapore.

I fully intend to do all three of these.
I firmly believe that you can do ANYTHING you want, if you want it enough. Nothing is impossible.

Watch my kids grow up to be happy, healthy, content adults.

Spend less time mopping up after kids and spend more time with my wife again!

Get away from everyone by becoming an astronaut, and looking back at planet earth.

Mmmm. Those three things almost contradict each other!

I'll go with 1 and 2.............

Then have a holiday on a new 'super' bike and tackle all the Col's in France............never ridden any yet.............

Be happy
Give more
Expect less

Mine are kind of interconnected

1) Run a marathon (preferably a mountain marathon)
2) Lose enough weight whilst getting in shape to do (1) to not crash instantly through the crumbling concrete whilst doing (3)
3) Conquer my nervousness of heights enough to traverse El Caminito Del Rey

I aim to get half-way to (1) by way of a half-marathon next year

Before I cogitate on my own, I'd just like to say that this one had me laughing so hard I was reaching for the oxygen!
... Trust whitey.

Learn to count.
I think the family stuff has been covered, as have Jessica and Myleene so I'll add:
1. Learn the blues harp
2. Be a good father
3. Get a job

Nope, still not come up with anything.

Not sure whether that makes me happy with my lot (and that'd come as somewhat of a surprise to me!) or just stunningly lacking in imagination. I fear the latter.

Seriously, there's stuff I wouldn't mind doing or having a go at (and I'm sure the misses would be rather keen of me finishing the electrics in the new laundry) but there's no musts. Praps I am happy??

1) See Everest from Base Camp - ticked that one off a few years ago
2) Have 2 / 3 kids and raise them well - first one on the way which may put 3) on ice for a while ..
3) Summit Aconcagua - let's hope I'm still fit enough in a few (?!) years time!
