I carry two spare inner tubes along with a repair kit, but circumstance's dictate whether I repair the puncture or use a new innertube. For example if bad weather is threating later in the ride, I will repair the inner tube there and then while the conditions are good as I do not want to tempt fortune with a good inner tube, get another two punctures and then find I may have to repair one possibly later in wet and muddy conditions. If time is a priority then its always a new innertube.

Mini pumps are a waste of time?

How have a managed for the last few years then?

With a frame fit pump?

Don't get me wrong, I own several mini pumps myself, Topeak Pocket Rocket, Topeak Master Blaster, Crank Bros Power Pump, Blackburn Carbon Shorty and a couple whose names escape me know.

But none are as efficient as a full size version, in particular the Zefal HPX, its awesome pump.

Agreed - got one on my commute home yesterday, thankfully was able to get home without real issue as it was just a slow puncture. Incredibly frustrating though.

110 psi from one of these says different, in fact it beat a frame pump to get the tyre back up to pressure though I think that had more to do with the operators than the pump ... I hate group punctures.

Yes, I have read that those are supposed to be good, but I wouldn't really class it as a mini pump?

On my commute bike I had a couple of weeks when I spent more time taking tubes out and patching than I did riding, on the advice of my LBS I got tubes with slime in them that seals holes, no more problems.
