What to do with a frame in the woods?

Out for a walk with the dogs the other day and saw a bike frame stood up in the woods, no wheels but had handlebars and rear deraileur, didn't see if it had anything else.

What would you guys do with it?
Leave it
Take it and see if it can be traced back to someone? (How would I go about this, police?)

Police ... try to your fingers off in case (finger prints)

Agreed - police station and then you can claim if not collected 4 weeks later (I think)

Cheers guys, didn't know if there was any other place to take it or contact rather than police, might go back tomorrow and see if its still there.

I found a carbon bike in a river.... took it to the Police and a month later they gave it back to me.
