My first-ever computer was a Mac LC.

I then upgraded to a Mac LC 475, with a separate cd-ROM drive. :becool:

I still have both of them, with associated keyboards, printers and 1 monitor screen and AFAIK, they both still work OK.

We have just had (free :wahhey: ) loft insulation done, which necessitates a MAJOR clear-out  and Mrs Scoosh is not sentimental, so wants them away.

Does anybody know if they can be recycled, given away ... anybody want them ?

If no replies by the week-end, I fear it is hard-drives smashed and to the 'Recycling Centre' aka the TIP.... which does seem such a waste.

I've also posted this on GeeksChat.

I'd be tempted by the LC 475 (although I doubt SWMBO would agree), however I'm too far away to make shipping a realistic option.

I take it you don't want to flog them on Fleabay?

One day they may be worth something from the rarity angle if everyone else throws theirs away! Or you could 'loan' them to a Museum of Technology in the meantime so that you still own them?

I still got an old blue and white Mac G3 underneath my desk.
Probably take it to the recycling centre, everything has a lifespan.
Even us unfortunately!
