The Coffee menu in Starbucks etc is a complete mystery. Partly I resent having to converse in Italian and ask for a "Grando Mocca" or whatever it is.
I drink black coffee anyway so just ask for that. Sometimes they say back to me "An Americano" which I doubt is aptly named as if most Americanos drank black coffee with no sugar they would not be so fat.
Is it some daft idea that a cup of coffee is worth £2.50 if the ordering of it is in Italian?

I get this too
'Just a coffee please' and then you get that enquiring look 'what sort of coffee ?'
Oh FFS, i think, just give me a coffee, so i always end up reluctanty asking for an americano....i just want an ordinary instant coffee !!

Proper maths - stuf like integration and differentiation. I used to be really good at maths but had to drop it before a-level as the school couldn't timetable the combination of a-levels I wanted.

I remember the basic principles so if someone explains how to solve/derive something I understand what they are telling me but wouldn't be able to do it myself.

And I'd really like to know what's going on with i

It's never too late. I'm sure someone in your local area would lend you books and teach you a bit. There are local libraries although a lot of good material has been stripped out in recent years to be replaced by GCSE/A-level textbooks. The good news it that a fair number of books have never been cheaper or easier to get hold of now the net is here. P.S. there are even a few good lectures e.g. vector calculus on the net/youtube
