I have put over 4000 miles on the Schwalbe 700x35c Road Cruisers (with puncture protection?) that came as original fit on my Hybrid and have to say I have been happy with the handling all year round regardless of the weather

I have had a fair few punctures but to be fair, my commute takes me right past the local public and commercial tip so lots of nasties on the road there and I did have a habit of riding across the gravel strewn areas at junctions, and also picked up a few glass splinter perforations from riding through a park where kids must have regularly had bottle smashing sessions of an evening.
Since I started avoiding the park and staying on the clean driven line when on the road I seem to have suffered less deflations (There! I've said it now.)

Been thinking of changing my tyres as well. Use Kojaks at the moment and had two flats in 500 miles or so, think I might try the Gators next time, anyone used these?

My hybrid came with Road Cruisers as well but 42-622 (700*40c) which didn't give enough clearance to the mud guards and their fixings and after 50 miles or so, changed them for Marathon Plus Tours (37-622), which although heavier, do appear to be faster.

I originally had Conti Travel Contacts on my MTB commuter but had far too many punctures so switched to Marathon Plus tyres and never looked back. Only ever punctured twice on those (1.5" brass nail the first time and an even bigger spear of glass the next) in thousands of miles.

Tyres that came on my roadie punctured daily & were replaced by Schawlbe Stelvios and then Stelvio Plus. They were good, but tended to cut up badly quite quickly and reached a point at about 600 - 800 miles where they started puncturing frequently. Now on my 2nd set of Conti Gatorskins. First set didn't last long before they were dangerously cut up & the innertube starting pushing through. 2nd set have been fine with no issues - maybe the first set had been in the store for a few years and the rubber had lost its flexibility and give?
