I will! I'm just fed up with woolly think skinned tasteless apples that I sometimes end up with.

The simple solution is grow your own if you have room. Either free standing or against a wall.

A great tasting, relatively trouble free variety I can recommend is Red Falstaff, a heavy cropper, nice looking, and keeps quite well.

As nobody has suggested that they're poison apples yet, and as they're already on your table, I'd follow @biggs682 thoroughly old-fashioned advice: have a bite. How else are you going to know whether you like them or not?
