Was hoping to go on the roof to investigate a clattering chimney cowl but with the wind and now a rain squall that would be foolish in a Nigel Pargeter way.

Was hoping then to get out on the bike but it won't be much fun with this wind so I might spend an hour on the turbo trainer.

Don't you know that you should NEVER attempt major DIY plumbing work on a Saturday? Something will go wrong just as the plumbers' merchants are closing.

so far ive fiddled with the PC, cleaned and oiled the bike a bit, rode into work, am working till 1 then riding home, have a 1 year olds party to go to this afternoon (in place of a longer ride after work as well!!) will clean the bike properly (just did the cassette, chain, chainset and derailliers earlier) and re-oil it, drink, watch MOTD and then play some skyrim, will then sleep and dream about my first drop bar being delivered next week!

However, I'm off into town to exchange a shirt and go to the bank, then get some food in for tomorrow (friends coming from Monmouth for lunch) and i'm working this evening.
Ah well.

Saved, I can't find the hose connector I bought to attached the washing machine fitting to the hosepipe to make a drain, and I can't be a*sed to drive to B&Q to buy a new one - maybe next weekend.
