Bad Bob. Drinking boiling coffee straight from the jug, and then getting shot with a cannon.

I would like to be as cool as James Coburn in the magnificent 7.
However, the mad old bearded prospector (Lee Marvin in "paint your wagon") would probably be more in my line.

Slightly OT there is a great Philip Larkin poem about being the character in a western novel and how your aspirations change with age ........ anybody recollect it ? I don't have my collection handy.

In the process I'd probably faint and need to have my stays loosened.
Whether or not I shot you in the hairy cacti would depend if you're the guy that gets killed early for no reason, or the majestically tall baddie in the black hat who turns out to have a heart of gold under his weathered skin :shy:
you've really thought this through, haven't you?

I'd go for Alan Ladd. Sure he was a shorty, but the perks made up for that

Was it in Blazing Saddles that a woman sang, "Men! - Always coming and going, going and coming ... and always too soon"?
Maybe I'd be her
yep, that would be lilli von stupp "is that a ten gallon hat cowboy, or you just enjoying the show?"

i'd be yul brenner in westworld, not because of any remote resemblance, but because it's one of the few films of a western bent that i can watch; the other being the one referenced by User13710…
