What wheels/tyres?

What with this lockdown nonsense i've decided to dig out my old Dawes Discovery X02 Hybrid for my wife to pootle around on with the kids.

The bike hasn't seen the outside of my garage since 2015/6? Who knows. At any rate it was a crashed bike where i wiped out both wheels. Frame is intact but i used it as an excuse to buy myself a new road bike.

I haven't had to think about hybrid bikes in so many years so i'm a little clueless as to what wheels i need for it. Help!

Guessing any rim braked 700c wheel would work which takes tyres of the preferred width (42mm according to your link)

Next, a set that takes an 8-speed cassette!

You need to check the OLN measurements (distance between dropouts/lock nuts on the hubs) which are probably 100mm and 135mm at a guess, the rear wheel vickster linked may not fit your bike. I think any new wheel will take 8speed with the appropriate spacers.
