Ah, cry woe for me! What will happen to me, the wretched victim of the cruelest lot (Euripides ^_^)
Anyhow, I just changed my front brake pads (not for the first time, cheeky!) to a new brand: my brake quick release just would not close anymore: I had to loosen the brake cable
What will happen to me now????
Shall I lie on a heap at the side of the road tomorrow?
Woe woe woe to me!

Dunna worry. All will be well. The brakes will work perfectly and you will wonder what you were worrying about.

Runs and hides in case everything goes pear shaped.

On this aforementioned hill, in an emergency, I suppose you could bend forwards and carefully work the brake block manually (but not too hard so you go flying over the handlebars. Also, careful where you put your fingers!).

If you have some sort of catastrophic brake failure, I'm sure you'd like it then

Actually, I didn't read that thread. Couldn't be arsed. What on earth are you wearing, a kayak?

EDIT: I have seen it. Why would that stop you, short of the flag flapping over in front of your eyes??

Go have a look: I'm gonna start wearing that from tomorrow until Tuesday. And I got another flag for my wee coffee unit. Could only find the union jack, will look tomorrow for a saltire.
