Give it a few years and we won't have to worry about the likes of City and United anymore, they'll be in a European or world league of some sort playing most of their matches in Asia. That's where the money is and foreign owners are only in the game for that.

I rode back through Crawley and a City 'fan' on a BSO complete with shirt was checking the final result on his phone (judging by the shreek of delight). I bet for the last few seasons he wore a Chelsea shirt. Blackburn had their day in the sun too......remember?

I wasn't joking, I see it in Leicester too.

They'll be wearing Millwall shirts in Leicester too now I suspect.

Follow a proper sport? Not full of overpaid tossers who get payed for playing a GAME?

Such as?

PS I dont follow, play nor support football and never have ...but it strikes me that all sport (at least those that attract sponsorship and national/international TV attraction) all seem to to very little for very...er... lot.

F1- chaps drivin in circles
Rugger- Chaps getting muddy
Boxing- Chaps (sometimes Women) hitting each other a bit
Snooker- Chaps hitting balls with sticks.
Cricket- chaps doing confusing stuff whilst dressed in white
Tennis- Women and men hitting balls at each other

etc

All of them totally irrelevant.

Unless you add the magic ingredient of "competition"

As Hemmingway said, there are only three sports. Mountaineering, Hunting and Motor racing.
All the rest are just games

Bit of a throwaway comment I admit. I have been known to follow football once upon a time. Its the excess money in many sports etc that gets my goat TBH. And footballers are the worst bunch of greedy shitehawks in regards to this.

I felt sorry for Arsenal when Man U beat them 8-2 Incredible that in such a short space of time Man U are on the receiving end of a similar score. I wish Phelan was made to speak to the media but thought Ferguson took it quite well

I like footy and do like to see it played well but there is too much money in the game (nothing worse than an a-hole with money and an over inflated ego, flashing the cash in times of austerity.) I blame Mr Murdoch
