What will you be doing when the world ends this Friday?

From a purely selfish point of view I'm not bothered about the world coming to an end on Friday. From that day I am out of work.

Bad luck, mate. I'm stuck on the social and having to postpone all present buying until I've got a bit of money. It does sometimes feel like the end of the world would take away a lot of the worry, doesn't it?

I too am likely to be pouring over maps, guidebooks and conducting research into rail travel to get me to and from the Elbe Radweg. Books ordered

I'd got something bigger in the pipeline but some significant dates/milestones have scuppered those plans for a couple of years.

Yep the Chimera will be the steed when I get around to doing the Northern Tier. Planning ground to a stuttering halt after a flurry of exchanges with @BigonaBianchi when the immovable feasts hove into view. Gutted.

Not to worry it gives me an opportunity to revisit Amsterdam twice on one tour and sample kebabs from the Turkish kebaberies in Germany not to mention real Budweiser in Prague. Weight gain is assured.

Work Xmas party on Thursday night so I suspect I'll be either "spending quality time in my bathroom" or wondering why I'm waking up in the garden shed again!

Isn't the end date of the Mayan calendar supposed to 24th December, but someone a few decades ago decided to tie it in with the winter solstice?

Then again, Christians shouldn't be celebrating 25th December either as that date has been "altered".

The weather looks good up here. I'm going to be cycling.

It isnt the end of the Mayan calendar, it is the end of one summester (or something like that). It doesnt tell of the world ending, someone has just got confused somewhere and though that it is going to cause the world to end.
There is nothing scientific to prove that there will be anything apocoliptic happening on that day.

It will just be a normal Friday afternoon.
