What windmill?

I have just bought a new stem, of the old MTB Pointy upwards variety, to get my bars a little bit higher. It has a superfluous central hole for centre pull brakes. I have decided that it needs "something" in this hole. Is this too much? Should I get a plain colour? Sadly the flapping duck mascots my father had are unavailable.

I've not seen a positive review about the battery charger.

I'd stick with the windmill.

I'd go with the windmill too, or one of those weather vanes with the little guy chopping wood. I've now got Taxings basket and flower avatar in my head too.

I'd considered getting one of the battery charger thingies as it was much cheaper than the B&M E-werk that I ultimately bought.

My first impression was that it was a good idea then my engineering degree and direct experience of hand held anemometers suggested that it was exactly that - a good idea. I managed to find a few reviews which indicated that they were not very good unless they were exposed to gale force winds.

I like the notion of baskets of flowers at the front of the bike. I saw several cyclists at Portsmouth with such fripperies waiting for the St Malo ferry. They had a motley collection of bikes and their gear was held on by bungies, duct tape and string - racks being totally absent. Their optimism was wonderful. I hope they had a good time.
