What would be your dream home?

For me it would have to be 50's or 60's modernist that has changed little since it's build. I have a real love of one off houses from this period.

There is a house about 2 minutes walk from my house that I've always admired and loved, I've often said to Mrs pplpilot that one day I'll own that house, designed (and lived in by architect John Madin, responsible for most of Birmingham's concrete Brutalist monstrosities) it has recently become grade II listed.

Well it's up for sale!

Out of the question as Mrs pplpilot says it is too secluded and she wouldn't feel safe while I'm working away... Ah well one can dream.

I thought that this was a cool and groovy block of flats when I cycled past it in Vienna. It turned out to be a district heating plant that burns refuse - what a wasted opportunity.

This would do for me. Hilly road riding, invest in a MTB, nice walking to have a dog again,not far from the coast, buy some chickens for quality eggs and just too far away from Plymouth for my MiL to feel safe about driving
