...if you aimed your helmet camera at the tarmac for your whole journey, and then sent the video to your local council stating, 'Please could you repair these potholes'. Surely they could then be held responsible for any damage to bike or vehicle along the whole route, as they 'had been informed of the potholes'.

Anyone want to join a new pothole campaign!

I'm not entirely serious, it was just after reading a thread about positioning the camera and mostly seeing potholes. Although, there probably is some mileage (if someone could be bothered) setting up a website where folk post their pothole videos!

Could work this,as long as you call out the street names as you go into them-ala police camera action styley when they are chasing some 16 year old car thief.
Will have to get one of the Manchester based helmet cam wearers to do my route for me.

It'd have to be a very long e-mail listing the numerous potholes on my route. There is one section on my commute (in this video) where it looks like a cluster bomb was used! However, this is the norm rather than the exception at the moment.

On the rural part of my commute today I noticed that the council (East Dunbartonshire in this case) had made an attempt at filling some holes. However, it has been done VERY poorly and resulted in lots of large loose stones. More to avoid!

I'd seriously love to do my route, at the moment I can only imagine spending an entire day walking it and photoing, measuring and recording every hole

That fill that hole is site is a serious pain to use for more than one hole though
