We appear to be getting quite a collection of cameras now. Mostly Canon but with a Nikon and a Practica thrown in for good measure. I am actively looking for a Canon AE1 Programme to go with the T70 and the old EOS. Sadly, I never get around to using all our cameras. The Nikon gets a fair bit of work, as do the 2 digital Canons. The rest get occasional use only.

I always wanted to rescue retired rocking horses but I don't think that hubby is quite so keen.

Walking round a car boot sale on Saturday, I realised that if I had large amounts of disposable income, and space, I'd have a terribly tendency to rescue rocking horses and sit on toys. Not beautifully lifelike glossy ones, but the slightly motheaten, sad sort you see at such sales. The sort with bald patches, and wonkey ears, and that sort of thing. I saw one once, I was with several people, and we couldn't even agree on what sort of animal it was - lamb, or donkey. The only things that stopped me adopting it was a complete lack of cash (I hadn't expected to go to the sale), and the fact that we were all on bikes, and 20 miles from our hostel base. But I felt so sorry for it.

What would you collect, if you had the money? Bikes, we take as read.

Hi Fi speakers. I am drawn to then for some strange reason.

In general I would only like to collect things that I can use (and that includes books). My camera collection is slowly expanding and I would love to collect antique silver cufflinks. I have no rational reason for the latter and indeed own no examples but I'd just like to do it.

I have been to people's houses who collect owls, in any form apart from alive; and pigs similarly. Little fluffy ones, china ones, pictures thereof - it drives me nuts.

I'm not usually intolerant of eejits but it makes me wonder for their sanity.

I have more 35mm cameras than I reasonably need but am also also looking out more. I also have an old medium format camera which I intend to learn to use soon and few oddities like 110 SLRs (I would use these but nobody will process the film anymore, they are great fun).

I have more bikes than I need but make a point of riding them all at least once a month. Again, I am always looking for more. Before Christmas, I went to the shop for a new coat and came back without a new coat but with a 1944 Elswick!

I have two vintage tractors which I restored. Would like more but can't afford at the moment.

If I had the money, I would also love to have a late 1960s AEC Mammoth Major 8-wheeler like the one my Dad had when I was a kid (WBI 66, I even remember the reg), an old 1960s Albion 44 seater bus, painted yellow, like the standard issue CIE school buses of my youth, a MK1 Golf GTI, a Renault 4TL, a Citreon 2CV, MK1 Lotus Cortina, MK4 Cortina Ghia, Peugeot 504 pick up, Austin Healey 3000, Morris 8, Ford Model T, Peugeot 205 GTI, Peugeot 305 van and a Mercedes W124 diesel.

I think I am beyond redemption.

My neighbour collects rubbish and twice a year I have to empty his flat out, 18 bags last time

You have my sympathy. A relative was like that. She subscribed to every scam going, pf the sort 'you have won a prize', 'I can see your future, send money', bogus charities and crystals.

She would not allow anyone to clear her place and the stuff was quite literally knee deep throughout with cupboards and drawers stuffed to capacity.

In early April she became incapapble and we started to clear the place so she could return from hospital. She did return for a week after which we continued the clearance with someone working every weekend. Despite many trips to the tip by car, 4 transit-size van loads, most of the useful furniture donated to the needy (it had little market value) and half a day's work by a clearance firm, we finished at the start of August and returned the keys to the council.

It was the stuff of nightmares and the junk mail is still coming!

I've got over 20 of these and just can't resist then when i see one on a car boot. I've banned my self from buying them more times than I've stopped smoking!
