Nip into work to clear the desk and say cheerio to everyone. Sort family and friends debts and mortgages, trust funds for the kids then a nice house somewhere toasty with wonderful cycling roads. Motorhome for touring and maybe one or two bikes, or three at a push and then see a bit of the world.
And I'd keep my exisiting house cos I like it!

Ride past a 7.5 million hose that's up for sale

I've got a good full time window cleaner lined up ,turn the water features into bike ramps
And a couple of clay traps to tell the neighbours I've arrived,
All I need now is to win the dosh and i will order the removal van

I ride past that place quite often. It's an eyesore and is in a rubbish location opposite an industrial estate. Can't see anyone paying seven & a half million quid for it.

Travel. And learn an instrument. Tuba perhaps.

Lots of talk of helping out the family - all very laudable....I've always remembered hearing some rich bloke - Bill Gates or someone like that - say that he planned to leave his kids 'Enough so they could do anything, but not enough so they could do nothing.'. Always liked that.

God, that really is hideous. Looks like one of those provincial 'luxury' hotels where telesales and double-glazing firms' 'Senior Executive Teams' go for brainstorming days out.

Well, neither Hampshire football club has players able to afford that, it would be in poor enough taste for them though. It would have fitted right in on Sandbanks or on the Bishops Avenue...and that certainly isn't a compliment.

I'd blow out the candles and put the heating on
You remind me of this, from Saturday's Guardian magazine:

I would stop work, buy a house with a decent bit of land and rescue Greyhounds and Jack Russells. I would homecheck fairly (more fairly than a lot of resuces do anyway). I would also gift a decent amount of money to Hubby's 3 sisters and offer our pal Mark a job with dogs.

Then I would do a lot of cycling instead of working for a living. Live on the interest and be happy. Or at least I think that is what I would do anyway.

Saluki, you'll not have any time for cycling with all those dogs to look after, unless you're going to force poor old Mark to do it while you go off enjoying yourself...

First I would set up my kids for life and help close family. Then I would live in sunnier climate ( southern France would do me nicely) and enjoy what is left of my life by travelling a little and doing what I want to do when I want to do it. What I wouldn't do is buy a posh car or big mansion, that's not my style.

So you are really telling us you are a close family. You hate the UK climate. You are at the end of your life so feelings of mortality are uppermost, you want to broaden you horizons. Control of your life is important as currently you might not have control of it. You would buy a posh house or car, everyone does and anyway if you emigrated to South of France you would presumably be buying a posh villa or renovated farm house.

Quit my job
Buy an apartment (never had a place of my own and getting fed up sharing)
Study my Masters and various other education things I want to do
Set up in business
Give some to charities that I support
Bank the rest.

I see you say "instead of working for a living". That's important. After doing my share (35 years) I'm not in lottery winner territory but I have enough pension for all my normal needs plus the odd indulgence. I have found it important to keep doing some work, to give a bit of discipline to my weeks and to stop my brain turning to porridge, the difference being that it's now work that I choose to do.
A few of my friends have downed tools completely and soon found that going off cycling/travelling/whatever all the time isn't really as much fun if you have nothing to contrast it with. They seem to spend a lot of their time moping. It would be much worse if they were still in their 30s or 40s.
