What year did Raleigh stop using their own threading standard and fall in line with most others?

Also is there any way to quickly tell which threading standard is being used on a particular bike?

This appears to be one of those occasions when you can't tell from just the age as it also depends which factory the bike was made in. Nottingham made bikes apparently kept the Raleigh threading fairly late on, but ones made in their other factories generally have standard British threading.
