I really should pay attention, I misread the tile as 'what's got on your melons' , I didn't like it :O Anyhow, I have a choice of 3 helmets, for winter evening cycling I have a heavy abus cycling helmet with a white head torch fixed onto it. The rest of the time I have two MET helmets, one is white, the other is black, and I choose whichever one matches the colour of my jersey!
I have the Specialized Prevail and Evade, both these helmets pass the CPSC, SNELL B90A, CE and AS/NZS safety standard tests without issue. Unlike many of the helmets legaly sold in the UK.
Both helmets are above 100 quid but if you decide to wear a helmet, you might as well get one which has passed decent tests.
Currently the UK test is at best described as lacking.
