Yes that’s right Tom and Jerry The original 1940’s-50’s 10 minute masterpieces not that hideous re-run in the sixties
Not doubt their total absence from terrestrial TV for the past 5 or so years is deemed necessary because of their violent content and old fashioned stereotyping but surely that’s an integral part of the humour- in their historic context?:smile:
Can they still be viewed on satellite/cable TV?
How about Tex Avery* cartoons….? Where are they now? I resent the fact my son will not, in all probability, be able to see these hysterically cruel gems unless I go out and buy them on DVD…by which time they could perhaps end up in effete-liberal obscurity, deemed ‘redundant and inappropriate’ for our times’ :sad::ohmy:
