I was not happy when they decided to make Walnut Whips in a mould instead of piping the chocolate, they didn't break apart properly when you eat them. .

That's what happens when you let frigging accountants run the show!

Wasn't it great when the TV went blank each night? I liked that. It was like a universal message saying that day time was over, it was now night, and night time was different. You could go to bed, read, draw or have a party but you were in a different world from the daytime one where people watch TV.

Then I used to listen to radio Luxemburg, now there is always Sexcetera on TV!

Edit - Or Cyclechat!

Wagon Wheels - the original big 'uns. To be honest, they were always "quite crap", but nevertheless remain in my memory as a proper weekend biscuit.

(Some will argue that the Wagon Wheel has not become smaller over the years, but rather we have gotten bigger. However, I don't ever recall thinking that chocolate digestives or KitKats have shrunk over the years, so I stand by my argument that the youth of today are being short-changed by Burton's biscuit-designing accountants)

Lemonade powder. A little in the palm and then dab your tongue in it.

There was the powdery stuff in little plastic bags or the crystals measured out from a jar which made your tongue sore.

And when diluted in water it made a refreshing, still lemonade drink.

OK, OK, but what about condensed milk. Fussles made it, didn't they? The lady in the shop would ask me which brand I wanted "Nessles or Fussles". Ah, the joys of making fudge.

Dunno, Carnation for me!

sherbert in paper tubes with liquorice

Saw these the other day in my local mini co-op(with plastic over the liquorice) - not sure who manufactures them now, I'll look next time I'm in.

I use to love sipping a hot coffee with a chunk in my mouth and letting it melt then chewing the raisins before the next chunk / sip happened.

check out the price too

As Mort mentioned I'm sure they brought this back - along with "Country Crunch" the checkered wrapper(little bits of crunchie in a chocolate bar). I think it could've been a limited edition though, damn.
