I've just had an awful week of womiting and die-yor-ear

Started with stomach ache and a headache.(which I never ever get) then next day feeling hot and cold and achey all over. Gut felt like I'd been kicked by a horse.
Then the diarreah followed rapidly by womiting.

High temperature, freezing cold yet sweating. Stomach so bad couldn't even drink water.

Finally after 5 days can keep food down but gut still upset and still sweating.

What on earth did I just have ?

There does seem to be something going round.
I've just had the squits for nearly a week, and normally I have the stomach and digestion of a concrete elephant. A few peeps at work have been unwell too.
I'd actually been blaming our canteen...

I was off work Monday and there is no way I am going in tomorrow (today). No 'reason' other than totally knackered, unable to move. I had not been off work for over 12 years and have now been off twice in 6 months....not enough cycling?

gastric flu? Campylobacter infection? Actually, it sounds like exactly what I once got after getting a tick or bracken-bug thing in an unmentionable excruciating place.

BTW, if you catch yourself feeling very down and blue in the next few weeks, don't think it's life - it's just a fairly common after-effect of fluey-type attacks.

I had it for 24 hours once, and that was bad enough, but to have it for a week . . .

mmm I reckon you're dead right there Dayvo. Symptoms are spot -on

Just remembered my skin n blister works (who in a Hospital) baked a huge cake for me last week which only I ate
