How big is your backpack!!!!

I have a medium sized pannier. The list is long, but they're small items and fit into one hand when I put them into a carrier bag and wrap the bag handles around them.

The rest of the pannier contains, sandwiches, 2 bananas & apple, plus work stuff - glasses, desk/locker keys, work permit pass, wallet.

I'd say that my total stuff doesn't exceed 3-4 kg in total.

On a Monday & Friday, I'll stick on second pannier and take in/ take home my change of clothing.

It sounds a lot, but I don't notice the weight when I'm rolling, especially when I'm around 100kg myself

Leather work gloves, wire cutters, 24hr ration pack, 2l water, 2nd stage First Aid Kit, binos, night vision goggles, machete, swiss army knife, crusader cup and hexi stove, lightweight bivvy bag and spare socks...

oops, sorry, wrong forum.

You all carry loads...

Pannier
Large D-lock, except if I know I won't need it
About four "bag for life" bags
Raincoat, unless it's windy or raining
Long-sleeved thick t-shirt, when it's sunny
Mini pack of tissues
Wallet

I usually leave the panniers locked to the bike (with a £1 lock, they're only £12 panniers) when I go somewhere. Usually the £2 Matalan t-shirt too.

Frame
Small D-lock
Lights
Computer

I need a very small rucksack or bag that I can put my lights, computer, trouser clips etc in when I go somewhere. I don't like stuffing them all in my pockets, and carrier bags look a bit cheap...

Sometimes I leave the panniers at home, but then I regret it if I want to buy something on the way somewhere, or if the weather changes and I don't have the right clothes.

Let me see:

Deuter Trans Alpine 30 rucksack

Shirt
Socks
Underwear
Trousers (only on Mondays and Thursdays. Work Sundays but casual)
Lunch
Can of Juice
Yougurt
Helmet Camera recorder
Front light - Hope 1 (now the days are lighter)
Wallet
Pump
Multitool
Two spare Tubes
Full fingered gloves (soon to be removed)
Light rain jacket
Overshoes (in case it rains on the way home
Loose change
Mobile
Nearly forgot - keys

Oh and a remote for garage door!!

Quite a lot when I think about it!:biggrin:

Underwear
Small makeup bag
Brush
Oyster card (you never know)
Purse
a bazillion hair clips and hairbands
2 pair of cycling glasses (usually smoked and yellowed or yellowed and clear depending on time of year)
whatever magazine I'm reading at the time, today is Cycling Plus

Repait kit items :-
Latex gloves (for keeping clean)
plastic bag (for seat cover)
quick stick puncture repair kit
full glue puncture repair kit (just in case)
2 spare tubes
multitool
multivalve minipump with airpressure dooberry
Tyre levers
Plasters
Antiseptic wipes
valve cap
presta valve ring thingie
cable ties
spare batteries
set of flashers
yet another hair clip ;)

I used to carry the large load everyday together with shopping on the homeward commute, that evenings dinner, cat food, etc. Now I just do a large load Monday morning and Friday evening and run lighter during the week. To encourage not carrying as much I'm going to buy a smaller bag.

Blimey, you all carry a lot!

Currently, in mine I've got:

water proofs
gloves
phone / keys / remote buttons etc.
multitool
pack of lockets
tyre leavers

And that's it. I have no idea why I have tyre leavers and no spare inner tube or repair kit. I'll pack the spare tube I've got in my desk draw this evening. In my defence, SWMBO can generally pick me up in the car if I run into and trouble!
