What's in your oven?

Christmas dinner is in the oven a bit earlier this year. A 3 bird roast of goose, duck and pheasant on a base of carrots, shallots, mushrooms and red pepper with bacon on top and a splash of wine in the bottom.

No christmas pud this year, I am poaching pears in wine with honey and vanilla. Forgot to get a cinnamon stick but it should survive the absence.

We have a chicken in the oven at the moment, later there will be stuffing, chipolatas, roast puds and yorkie puds. We bought the free range bird from a farm shop, looks good and will hopefully taste good

I have a Gantt chart worked out to ensure that everthing is ready for 1.00 sharp. When I showed my girlfriend she thought it was overkill, but she can't cook a can if baked beans.

The cockerel that went in at 7.30 this morning has come out of the oven and is resting.
It’s over to the Mrs now who is in charge of the veg and trimmings.

A couple of pain au chocolat in the top oven the moment for elevensies..

The bottom oven has a defrosting turkey crown ready to cook tomorrow as that’s when the mob are over.
MrsPete and I will tuck into a huge bit of steak this afternoon.

I'm bringing smoked salmon and blinis with me, so in my oven is blini batter, proving.

Nothing. I've had a brisket and a pork shoulder in the smoker since 11:00 last night, very low and slow. I'll take them out at 3:00 ready for family to arrive at 5'ish.
