I would not buy a car for my use that had been owned by a smoker.

You'll get a grand relatively easily as most people would 'risk' a grand on a good car and a jap car is just that, with a new cambelt and looking good you may touch 1500, ebay traders have them around 1700.

120 thousand, no accidents, non smoker, cam belt done when required, next week in fact. always done everything required for servicing. are we looking at £700 - £1000....?

Grand would be my estimate..but if you want a rough guide where you live pop into a local franchised garage and ask for a "how much px on a 14 plate similar car will I get" that offer will be about right for private sale or auction value

If you go through the first bit of a "compare the market" online quote, it gives you a vehicle valuation based on your reg number which is reasonably accurate. (assuming average miles, condition etc)

Have you looked on we buy any car com? that will give you the lowest price you could expect from a trade sale.
