Whats the best way to tackle trolls

We have all seen them, YouTube.. Newsites and fourms.

My question is whats the best way to tackle them.
Like when they spurt out spontaneous lines like
zach doyle
idiot, your in the wrong for riding in the middle of the road!

I tend to be very sarky.
Some will say ignore and other things.
If you had no choice but to engage with them.... what would you do?

Don't feed the trolls

They provoke for reactions and arguments, ignore them or quietly remove them and they'll wander off and find someone or somewhere else they can get a better reaction from.

Hmmmmm.
I think its quite difficult with non cycling forums because alot of the time they're not trolling, they actually believe what they're saying. So if you ignore it you've not enlightened them.
I tend to point out the facts and then leave it at that.

Put 'em on ignore. If you let them in, they'll take advantage. If they are on ignore, they'll be dead to you, and that's the best place for them to be.
