What's wrong with cyclists today?

This morning |I went out for a little ride. Usually about 1/2 the other cyclists I meet reply to my "Hi", Hello", "Morning" or wave in a friendly fashion. This morning was very different. Everyone. I mean 100% of those I greeted replied either with a wave or cheery response. Even passing walkers and joggers were friendly.
What has gone wrong with miserable Britain? Is it the sunshine, It's work tomorrow or something in the water round here.

I hope this gratuitous friendliness is not a trend. Tomorrow I am going out for a ride and won't come back until I have not greeted 30 cyclists. We have to stop this in its tracks.

I don't react to non responders but I remember them. I remember them.

Sometimes I don't say hi to people wearing the same shoes as me. Sometimes I don't wave to people who live in the same town as me.

However when cycling I expect a fellow cyclist to pull over and we spend 30 minutes recreating our favourite Call The Midwife episode. Almost all join in but a few don't. I must start a thread about my desperately needy anxiety of my arbitrary greeting between people using the same mode of transport as me.

I get jolly annoyed unless oncoming cyclists give me the double Rimmer salute while reciting the Kubla Khan.
