Currently restoring an old Townsend bike into a singlespeed
In need of some wheels, fancied a mag front wheel so got a good deal on a 26” Bassano Grimeca 5 spoke ( I know there is a lot of hate for these wheels but I still went with one )
It’s needing bearings and an axle . Me and my naivety presumed I could take from my existing wheel. The axle does but the bearings, that’s where it’s going wrong. I thought I was quite savvy with bikes but I’ve never dealt with wheels before, so apologies for being thick
How I know what bearings I need ? Where do I get them from ? How do I measure ?
