I'm not sure how useful it would be if you kept it in the glove compartment.

There would be ample room as you would, of course, be wearing the gloves. You have to think these things through.

+1 and then the thing simply won't stay there if you snag anything you're going to break some part of the 'plough' or the thing will flip under the wheel.

The first thing you would need to do is clear sufficent snow from around the front wheels in order to fit the ploughs < (correct spelling) which rather defeats the object IMHO + all the other valid objections.
