Wheel off centre.

Hi, just fixed a flat and suddenly my rear wheel is out of whack, so much so that the brakes rub quite badly when not on and move the rim when they are. Should I align manually (seems iffy) or does my bike need an expert eye to sort this?

Bike is an Evans Pinnacle Dolomite 3’, hub is Alex A Class - just in case it's relevant.

Just undo the quick release and re-tighten with the wheel properly aligned. Make sure the distance between the wheel and fork is the same on both sides.

That simple? I figured they should self align, all things being constant. Cheers for the info.

No they don't usually self align in my experience, you have to put them back on with a bit of care to make sure they are centred, even with disc brake equipped bikes.
