Wheel options?

I'm after some wheels for my carrera tdf any suggestions I want something strong really which won't brake,

They are strong but heavy. You won't find anything better with your budget tho. R 501s can be found for around £70, might as well just get those.

What's a wear limit?

The point at which the rims are no longer safe to use. Do you remember me suggesting these wheels to you a few days ago?

What's a wear limit?

Every time you brake you're wearing a bit of the rim away (as well as the pads), so after many many miles the rims will become so thin they are unsafe - the wear indicator lets you know when it's time to scrap the rims.

As for them being any good, the answer is simply that they will be far better than the ones you have on your bike currently. But being as you can spend £2k+ on a pair of wheelset!!

All wheels will wear like that. The only ones that won't are disk wheels, which don't apply in this case. Everything on a bike will need replacing eventually.
