Whoa maggot that is expensive!! Looks like a great piece of kit though!

Arch, good suggestion but we don't have access to electricity at the field, even the small fridge will be gas powered. I reached a compromise with that and baby will have extra bits brought along and her mum will sort out meals for her if she can't eat something that's on the menu.

Yeah sorry, I didn't think you'd have a blender, I was just pontificating.

You could put the baby's portion on the ground and get a van to drive over it? ;)

Depending on the age of baby and weaning style, it doesn't have to be purree anyway. Max has been gumming bits of bread and fruit since he started on solids.

You could just make a huge 'mushroom' ( ) rissotto on the first night, by the time everyone comes down they won't care/remember what you fed them

Hmmmm now I like the sound of that!!

I can then bugger off and enjoy the week instead of slaving over the stove!!

As an officer with a Boys Brigade company that goes to a canvas camp every year, our cookhouse has two full size domistic cookers and a team of six cooks/helpers for about fifty boys, girls and staff for a week. Now I know this more than you are catering for but the principles remain the same. First sort out a menu and stick to it, as you only have two rings take as many pans as you can carry (more rings better), organize a rota for doing all the jobs that no one likes doing i.e. peeling vegatables and washing up and ensure that everybody does their bit. Finally find time to rest even if it is only for an hour just to refresh the batteries. Oh and enjoy  .
