When buzzards attack!

Wow, that's impressive. I often see Buzzards on my rides in the heathland, but I've never had one attack me. We have a nesting pair of Buzzards close by where I work in Hannover and they are commonly in the grounds at work. They are remarkably indifferent to the people there and I've seen them catch Pigeons and baby rabbits on site. I find them endlessly fascinating and beautiful birds, here's a photo of one of them from work.

It's a well known fact that Buzzards are very anti cyclist, and will do a close punishment pass deliberately, and when there are no cyclists to close pass they like to sit on tall posts mentally constructing a strongly worded rant to the Daily Mail that they'll write once they get back home to their nest.............honest! :whistle:

When I worked in the prison service we used to walk the perimeter fence on the night shift and got dive bombed by Oyster Catchers nesting nearby. :laugh:

No buzzards over here; hawks and eagles and vultures and kites and other buteos, (some cara cara's) but no buzzards.
