I went to put the heater on for a brief second, I must have thought I was in the car

I also on a few occasions have picked up my car keys to take my bike out

Anyone else done stupid things like this? :becool:

I often run my hand up and down the down tube looking for the gear shifters then realise that I'm not on my old road bike but my new one.

Wearing my helmet back to front.

And last week I turned into the 2 yard wide footpath that I cycle down to get home, then realised I was in my car and swerved back onto the road.

I've been known to wander the car park at ASDA looking for the car (before remembering that I'd used the bike to get there). Once rang my wife to pick me up from Sainsbury's as some thieving scum had nicked my bike ... She rang back to say "Thats a bit of a bugger - Some thieving scum has nicked the car".

Hi Yorkshireman

I did spend about quarter of a mile once with the feeling I would be safer wearing a seat belt

+1 I get a weird feeling to start with and realise it's the lack of a seatbelt:smile:

What you lot all need is a set of 3 wristbands printed with the words "car", "bike" and "wallking". Simply pop on the one for the appropriate mode of transport as you leave the house. To cover all eventualities, it could also be printed with your address in case that get's forgotten as well.

I'm glad it's not just me.

I very, very rarely drive which made it even odder.

Don't forget the ball of string to tie to method of transportation to enable finding it again.

You could tie it to your leg when walking.
