When should xmas trees go up?

Why are there so many miserable s***bags on here? £25 for a bit of fun, once a year. Cheer up.

If you live on your own there isn't any point of a tree, I did buy one last year, did it cheer me up not one bit
Christmas is for the children and if you haven't got any it can be just another day.

If it's a real one to last until New Year then not before 17/18 December at earliest. We ended up with a second one last year (bargain for a fiver at Homebase in Daventry) put up on 24th 'cos first was bare by then.

I can have fun without having a cheap plastic bit of tat stood in the corner... it's a pity you cannot.

My parents have a little 2' high plastic tree that has fibre optic lighting and all the bits built in. That sometimes comes out for Christmas and gets plugged in. It is a good distraction on the top of the telly when the usual Christmas rubbish is on.

The tree goes up in our house usually on the first Sunday in December. We don't go for the peripheral lights or decorations. The living room is waaaaay too small. And 'm too mean to pay for the extra electricity.

I haven't got a clue, my lad was driving back home after dropping his Mrs off at the Hospital where she works when he spotted the cyclist, apparently one he see's regularly, with his backpack festooned with Xmas lights..
