Rolf Harris is still going strong and Playschool also had Jeremy Irons presenting it.

It was 40 odd years ago chaps so we should expect a few to have popped off over the years.

I have heard of Star Trek conventions but not Arch's "Noggin the Nog event"!

some ex colleagues worked at cosgrove hall , one worked on chorlton and the wheelies, one on dangermouse ( and count duckula).

like the trumpton dolls mentioned, most of the chorlton stuff was dstroyed when not needed or wore out.... obvioulsy a lot later they realise the value!

always amused me how they 'got back on track' if running late on schedule,,, 'its another dark cave scene guys'

It was part of the annual Viking festival a few years back. The art cinema in town showed some episodes, and a film about Smallfilms, and Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate were billed to appear and talk about the series and other work - alas Oliver Postgate was unwell, so I never got to meet him. But Peter Firmin was there, with Bagpuss, and a Clanger. I met his wife too - she knitted the Clangers. I thanked him for creating my childhood, and he said he and Oliver never thought of it like that - it was just a job to them I suppose.

On a Fred theme.........
Fred Dinenage (How andGambit), think he might be on a local news programme.

Map-hopping Fred Talbot I last saw on that Locks and Quays programme on Discovery, as enthusiastic as ever.

Fred Dineage still appears on the local ITV news slot. He is a bit old and doddery now and has a Bobby Charlton comb over.

Fred Talbot is a bit more 80s. If we are straying into that era and weather people then it has to be Ulrika.
