Same here! I looked at a couple of houses prior to retiring and before it all went wrong out there! I opted for the easy option and stayed where I am and made a few home improvements and got 2 new bikes!

Anywhere as long as its close to a Lidl store..........In the UK near to the coast would be nice.

Well, I hadn't thought about it like that, but that's what I've done, two Lidls within 8 miles and high water mark across the road.

Well, as my retirement has just moved from twenty years away to twenty eight, it's a little far to think of.

If I had no ties however, I'd emigrate now to Australia.

Northen Rhodes has been our ideal to retire to for a good few years, maybe even have a small shop during the tourist months, we just loved the idea of warm autumns and mild winters.
It could still happen, possibly, will just see how things pan out in the next coupe of years

I'm efectively retired i guess...50...and thinking about doing winters in some hot place and summers here....poss mexico...maybe far east....far east is cheaper...not much fun on me todd though.....hmmm...last time i went i ended up playing metallica songs in a reggae band on the beach in malaysia and missing my bike to much.

I'd like to retire somewhere near water; Largs, Luss, Brighton or Byron Bay in Australia. As it is, I'm 32 now and have at least another forty years of employment to look forward to first and my pension will most likely be worth about 50p.

And a nice area it is too, just a bit cooler and wetter than Granada. Actually, I love it in this area.

There was agorgeous houseboat in the marina at chichester Norm...I came dam close to buying it a year ago...it had the most amazing interior...walk in shower with full glass front over looking the river and all mod cons etc...ducks and swans on the decking ...perfect...almost...at £175k...but the mooring is rented so no security of tenure on the mooring which is why i moved on.

Chichester is a cool town...I ride there occassionally....have amate who runs a recording studio there ...
