Each of those machines was once somebody's pride & joy, and most could still be resurected to at least provide a hack-bike for someone.

I've heard of vultures picking a carcass clean, but that's going some.

macc train station has several abandoned looking machines, some of which would make nice resto projects or hacks…

Reminds me, there's a lady's frame bike been abandoned outside the local One Stop shop for months, I must get Bike Rescue onto it, see if they can cut it loose. The wheels are already knackered, and it's lying on the ground now.
