Our company has 120,000 different product formulations. As recently as 16 years ago they were kept on sheets of paper and stored in box files in a locked room. Then when we got the first computer they were gradually transferred to.... somewhere. One day the Chairman aged about 70 came in to do some annoying and saw that we hadn't ordered any new box files for a few months so got on the 'phone and ordered a load. When he heard that the formulations were now kept on the computer he looked puzzled and asked "Yes, but where do you put the formulations?" Same reply and again: "Yes, but where do you actually PUT the formulations?"
After he'd gone back to sleep the box files were quietly returned to the supplier....
