Not me, but a friend/colleague of mine, some time back in the late 1980's (I think).
She was half way through a promotion board interview up on the fourth floor of our office block when the interview had to be suspended due to an earthquake - in Gloucester! I was working on the ground floor at the time, and couldn't work out what that rythmic squeaking/rubbing noise was, until I spotted two wall panels moving against each other. The whole office was evacuated for half an hour or so, and the interviewee had to stand around with the interview panel in a corner of the car park well away from everyone else. When we all went back in, the interview was re-convened as if nothing had happened. She failed, but was granted special grounds for appeal, and a fresh interview.
