Hi all

Can anyone offer advice on how to track down the right bus company to make a complaint to about dangerous driving, and where best to direct the complaint?

It's a bus route that crosses the Essex/Herts border.

Not for the first time, I had a particular type of bus nearly hit me this morning. He was so close I could knock on his door.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

That's the problem, I'm not sure who it is.

I think the bus company is Olympian Coaches, but according to the routes I can find, they don't run that route.

The weird thing is I googled the registration plate, and there's a picture of the reg plate on a different bus from 2012?!

S&M coaches are also tied in with Olympian. If you have the reg then complain to the bus company. If you believe there is funny goings on over the registration then complain to the police. However, is it possible that the bus company scraps a bus and legally transfers the number to a replacement bus, as you can with car number plates via the DVLA. S&M were caught out a couple of years ago if you remember for fiddling paperwork and using unroadworthy buses. I still regularly use the 392, Harlow to Hoddesdon, route though.

Interesting. It is almost certainly just a case of the reg plate being reused, although it makes you wonder!

I've emailed the S&M company asking if they run that route and asked if that registration plate is one of theirs.

I would just contact the police, not that they would do anything, so I probably wouldn't. Why didn't you just bang on his door or swing a D-lock at it or him if he came after you?

My experience is they don't give a damn
My brother was hit some years ago, he was on a motorbike, luckily it was only a knock, he was OK, the bike was badly damaged, the bus had a big ding in it, every passenger on the bus would have been aware of the accident, the bike was covered in red paint from the bus.
The bus company simply denied there was any accident, they were "unable" to find the bus and "unable" to find a driver.

This is why we wear cameras.

Once it's on video they can't deny it.
