Rather than narrowing down my options for a winter training bike, I seem to be broadening them

I have 4 that I am thinking of buying and plan to part with my cash over the bank holiday next week.

They are;

Triban 3a (£300)
Triban 5a (is it worth £130 more than the 3a?)
Boardman Race hybrid (£430 on offer)
Specialised Sirrus (£400 but I may get it for £360)

Any thoughts on the pro and cons of these would be appreciated.

I have a Specialised Roubaix that will go into hibernation but I need to keep riding and continue to lose weight through the darker months.

Not here offten enough to argue
its not an easy one to advise on phil

in a way i have two winter bikes - defy 4 with full guards and also a 29er for tracks and trails.

where are you riding during the winter? roads or tracks and trails?

If I venture off road it will be the Taff Trail which is now all tarmac around Merthyr. The Decathlon bikes seem good value as long as I can get mud guards on them but the Boardman looks a superb bike. If I try for N+2 I m likely to be heading for a divorce.
